Managing Scan to Configure Profiles

Avalanche allows you to create Scan to Configure profiles (barcode profiles) that are configured with network settings. You can then print the profiles as barcodes and a mobile device with an Enabler can scan these barcodes. (The Enabler must be version 3.5 or later.) The information from the scanned barcodes is used to configure the network settings on the device, such as the IP address, subnet mask, and gateway. The length of the barcode is configurable.

Once you have configured your Scan to Config profile, you can apply that profile to any folder in the Console. When you apply a profile to a folder, the users who have permissions for that folder can make changes as necessary. For more information about assigning Scan to Config profiles to a folder, see Applying Profiles to Folders.
