Remote CAM Database Installation

If you can't run camsetup.exe on the database server itself, you can install the CAM Database remotely.

Normally, camsetup.exe is run on the database server and the database component is selected to create and initialize the CAM database. However, in some situations, it may not be possible to run camsetup.exe on the database server itself. In these cases, you can install the CAM database remotely by installing a set of tools on one machine and then running the tools to create and initialize the CAM Database on another machine.

Before proceeding:

Make sure that the machine on which you run the tools has a supported version of Microsoft .NET installed.
Verify that a supported version of Microsoft SQL Server is installed on the machine on which you plan to install the CAM database.
