Browser Client E-mail

The Browser Client offers comprehensive e-mail functionality, including:
  • Rich Text and plain text: Define messages using either multiple format options or a plain text format. Rich Text supports drag and drop image upload functionality (including a thumbnail preview) and the ability to insert a hyperlink with display text and a tool tip, if necessary.
  • Attachments: Add attachments to e-mail.
  • Importance: Indicate to the recipient that the e-mail is high priority.
  • Address Book: Search, filter, and sort Customers, Users, Teams, and Workgroups and then add them as recipients to the e-mail. Access the Address Book by clicking either the To or CC button.
  • Recipient attachment options: Define which Customer records should include an attached e-mail as a Journal - Mail History Record after the e-mail is sent.
You must have the appropriate security rights to access various features and functionality.
You can send an e-mail from the Browser Client multiple ways:
  • Select E-mail > Send E-mail in the menu bar from anywhere in the Browser Client. You select the recipients when using this option.
  • Select E-mail > Current Customer in the menu bar when a Business Object record is active.
  • Select a Customer's e-mail address on a Business Object record.
The Customer must have a defined e-mail address on record.
  • Run a One-Step Action configured with an e-mail Action directly from the One-Step Action Manager.
E-mails are sent from a defined default account. If you have not configured e-mail for CSM, refer to the e-mail accounts documentation for more information.
