Linking Incidents to Major Incidents
Use the power of an Automated Process to link an Incident to a Major Incident in JIRA.
To link an Incident to a Major Incident:
Only available if both the Incident and Major Incident have previously been posted to JIRA. To use this feature, Automation Processes must be enabled and configured.
- In the CSM Desktop Client, open an Incident that has previously been posted to JIRA.
- Select Actions > Link to Major Incident.
- Select a Major Incident from the list that has previously been posted to JIRA.
An Automation Process runs and adds a comment to both JIRA issues indicating that the two Incidents are now linked. This may take a few minutes.
