Searching for Resources
Ivanti Neurons for PPM allows you to search for Resources. You can refine the search by Project Role, Skills, Capacity, and availability. Within this application, availability refers to the employee's set Available Hours and Operational Percent. Capacity refers to the employee's time available to perform the desired Task, taking into account all other Tasks assigned for the specified date range.
Searching works best when you begin with clearly defined Roles, Skills, and a Resource Plan. For more information, see:
Searching for Project Resources
When searching for Project Resources, all searches begin in the Project Phase business object.
1.Click on the Resourcing tab.
2.Enter the parameters for your search:
Start Date: The earliest date for which your project needs a resource.
End Date: The latest date for which your project needs a resource.
Role: The Project Role your project needs. The Project Role you choose depends on the Skills your Project needs.
3.Click Link Resources to search for Resources and link them to the Project Phase.
4.Click Update Resource Dates.
5.Click Update and View Resource Capacity to create the search results.
6.Click the Resources tab to view search results. The Remaining Capacity column shows the employee's Capacity to perform the desired Skill.
