Deactivating the HEAT PatchLink DeskTop Server

In the rare case that you need to migrate your HEAT PatchLink DeskTop Server to another box, you can deactivate your existing server beforehand to prevent conflicts after migrating.
  1. From the Workspace (the lower panel on the left), make sure that Administration is selected.
  2. From the Administration tree, select HEAT PatchLink DeskTop for System Center > Settings.
  3. Click the Deactivate this server link.
    Step Result: A dialog opens.
  4. Enter your Serial number into the dialog.
    If you don't know it, search your email inbox for the email HEAT Software sent you after your latest HEAT PatchLink DeskTop for System Center purchase. If you can't find it, contact Customer Care.
  5. Click Deactivate.
Result: Your server is deactivated. The Product License info is updated to show your server is deactivated. When you're ready to reactivate your server, activate your serial number.
