Automating the Installation of Software

The procedure for automating the installation of software is as follows:

  1. Select the desired software folder in the Software Library.
  2. Choose the Automate > Application Installation task, then follow the wizard.
    The following tasks can be performed with the aid of the Wizard:
    1. Import MSI-based software and save as MSI Package
    2. Import an existing package into the software library
    3. Record software installation with the aid of NetInstall Spy and save as a package

For the individual software types, you must make the following entries in the course of the Wizard:

MSI-based software

Existing MSI Package:

Existing MSI transform:
<Name>.mst
