Set Organizational Context

Add the Set Organizational Context action to change the classifications of the subscriber within the organization. You can change these classifications manually or via a service attribute.

Action Name

Optionally specify a friendly name for the action. This name must be unique in the workflow.

Add

Add classifications to organizational context of the subscriber.

Remove

Remove classifications from organizational context of the subscriber.

Replace

Replace classifications in the organizational context of the subscriber.

Use service attribute

Specify an organization service attribute that stores the organizational context that users can add to the classifications. In the Web Portal, users can then select a value for the service attribute from a list of organizational context items.

Relationship

Specify the relationship with the current classifications. This area is only available if you select the Add action.

  • Select AND to add the organizational context to the current classifications as an additional classification. When the action is performed, any duplicates are ignored.
  • Select OR to add the organizational context to the current classifications as a separate set of classifications.
  • You cannot set the order of the classifications.

Replace all existing classifications for

Replace the current classifications for specific organizational context and any sub-items with the new classification. This option is only available if you select the Replace action.

  • You can only select top-level organizational context items (e.g. Departments or Locations, not Departments\Administration or Locations\USA\Boston).
  • If your selection leads to duplicates, these are ignored (e.g. this doesn't lead to classifications like "Locations\USA OR Locations\USA").
  • Classifications are only replaced if the subscriber is classified in the specified organizational context or one or more sub-items (e.g. if you specify Departments and the subscriber is classified in Departments\Administration and Departments\IT, these items are replaced. If you specify Roles and the subscriber is not classified in this item or any sub-item, no changes are made).
  • If you delete organizational context from your environment, it is also removed from the Set Organizational Context action.
  • When the transaction with the Set Organizational Context action has been completed, the Transactions log shows as actor The Web Portal, as this is the one who executed the action.
