Importing data from an existing data source

Before you can import data from an existing data source, you need to set up the following:

1. Create a connection to the existing data source. You use the Data Connections tree to configure the connections to data sources that contain your information. For more information, see Connections.
2. Create a Scheduled Import to set the frequency at which the data import occurs and recurs. For more information, see Creating import configurations.
3. Map the existing data source fields to attributes in your business objects. For more information, see Creating import configurations.
4. Import the data from the existing data source. For more information, see Creating import configurations.
