Using the setup wizard to complete Ivanti Standalone Sentry installation
When you first boot the Ivanti Standalone Sentry you automatically open the installation setup wizard. The Welcome screen is shown. Use the information gathered in the worksheet (Gather Ivanti Standalone Sentry installation setup information) to complete the Ivanti Standalone Sentry installation steps.

- (Optional) If needed, once the installation is complete, install the VMware tools. See Installing the VMware tools.
- Standalone Sentry configuration is done in the UEM platform you have deployed. Depending on whether you have deployed Ivanti EPMM or Ivanti Neurons for MDM, you will either add or register Standalone Sentry.

Installing the VMware tools
The open-vm-tools rpm is now installed by default when Sentry runs on VMware platform and is not required to install the VMware tools manually.
