The Splunk Enterprise and Splunk Cloud apps for Ivanti Neurons for MDM periodically pull device; compliance; geo-stats; HIPAA, PCI, and CJIS regulation information; and historical platform and compliance statistics from Ivanti Neurons for MDM to a Splunk Enterprise or Cloud server.

The Splunk Enterprise and Splunk Cloud apps for Ivanti Neurons for MDM dashboards are all constructed in simple XML and can easily be modified using the Splunk user interface to fit your requirements.

Ivanti rebranded MobileIron Cloud as Ivanti Neurons for MDM and updated this guide accordingly. You may still encounter instances of "MobileIron" and "MobileIron Cloud" in this guide, and such instances refer to nomenclature that Ivanti did not rebrand in the product infrastructure.

Setting up the Splunk Enterprise app and Splunk Cloud app for Ivanti Neurons for MDM

Setting up the app for Splunk Enterprise or Splunk Cloud involves some or all of these steps, depending on your platform, and Installing and Configuring for Splunk Cloud and Installing and Configuring for Splunk Enterprise fully describe the installation steps:

• For Splunk Enterprise, satisfying the prerequisites described in Prerequisites.

• Downloading the Splunk Clpoud/Enterprise app for Ivanti Neurons for MDM application file from https://support.mobileiron.com/support/CDL.html:

  • Splunk Cloud: mobileiron_cloud_for_splunk_cloud-2.2.0-bundle.tar.gz

  • Splunk Enterprise: mobileiron_cloud_for_splunk_enterprise-2.2.0-bundle.tar.gz

• Installing the Splunk app for Ivanti Neurons for MDM on the Splunk Cloud or Splunk Enterprise Server:

  • Splunk Cloud, see Installing and Configuring for Splunk Cloud .

  • Splunk Enterprise, see Installing and Configuring for Splunk Enterprise .
