Device Settings Payload (Windows Phone)

The Device Settings payload allows for additional configurations to be applied to Windows Phone and Windows Embedded Handheld 8.1 devices. With this payload you can set an NTP server address for synchronizing the time between multiple Windows Phone devices. Only one device settings payload can be applied to a device at a time.

This payload has the following options:

Payload Name

The name of the payload.

Persist Provisioned Data

Prevents the prov.xml provisioning file from being deleted in the event of a device wipe. This file contains data that is used during first boot, after updates, and after resets, such as Windows Phone bulk enrollment credentials. For more information on bulk enrollment, see Configuring General System Settings.

Server Sync Interval in Hours

The interval in hours for how often a device must sync with an NTP server. By default, this is set to 24.

NTP Servers

The NTP time server used for synchronizing devices on a network of machines. The server can be specified by IP address or DNS.
