Run Inventory from a Network Share Location

By using a network share location, you can run inventory on a Windows or Mac OS machine without having to install the CAM Agent.

This is designed for smaller environments that may not have access to a CAM Access Point and cannot deploy CAM Agents.

You can discover and inventory Linux/Unix/Mac OS machines without an agent from within CAM Administrator.

To run inventory from a network share:

Set up the network share location (only required once).
Access the share and run the inventory from each machine that you want to inventory.
Process each inventory, thereby adding it to the CAM database.
