Edge Intelligence Settings
On the Edge Intelligence Settings page you can manage Edge Intelligence Configurations, which contain settings related to the Generic Behavior and the Monitoring feature of Edge Intelligence.
You assign a Configuration to endpoints using Agent Policies. On a policy, enable the Edge Intelligence capability and select the desired Configuration. See also Agent Policies. After assigning or editing a configuration, please allow for the timing interval for Agent Check-in before the changes take effect.
You must have a role with Edge Intelligence > Configure permissions to manage Edge Intelligence Configurations. For more information about Roles and Permissions, see Access Control.
To access the Edge Intelligence Settings page, navigate to Admin > Edge Intelligence Settings.
Create a Configuration

Select Create Configuration.
The New Edge Intelligence Configuration page opens. -

-
Generic Behavior
On the Generic Behavior tab you can Enable the location sensor on endpoints.
If you disable the location sensor, location data is not collected by Edge Intelligence and is therefore not available to any of your Neurons Platform members.
The location sensor also requires access to https://edgelocation.ivanticloud.com. For more information about URLs and IP addresses used by the Neurons Platform, see Required URLs, IP addresses and ports. If the location sensor is enabled, location data is available to members with Edge Intelligence > View Location permissions. For more information about Roles and Permissions, see Access Control.
When you enable the location sensor, users working on computers running Apple macOS will be prompted to allow use of Location Services by the Neurons Agent. If use of Location Services was already allowed before, the prompt will not appear.
-
Monitoring
On the Monitoring tab you can select the metrics you want to monitor on the endpoints to which this configuration applies.
Currently, the following metrics can be monitored: CPU Utilization, Memory Usage, Location, Battery Health and Disk Space.
The indicator next to the name of the metric indicates the OS family (e.g. Microsoft Windows or Apple macOS) for which the metric can be monitored. You can apply a Configuration to endpoints that do not support some or all of the settings. These settings will simply be ignored.

After you have done that, you can delete the Configuration that you tried to remove.
