Neurons for ITSM Installation Prerequisites

Before you install Neurons for ITSM, do the following:

•Confirm your role. See About Roles.

•Create the needed accounts. See About the Different Accounts Used in Neurons for ITSM.

•Meet the system, hardware, and software prerequisites. This information is contained in the System Requirements and Compatibility Matrix for Neurons for ITSM.

•Configure the ports needed for your deployment. This information is contained in the System Requirements and Compatibility Matrix for Neurons for ITSM.

•If you are going to deploy Neurons for ITSM as a virtual image, review the requirements at About Using a Virtual Machine with Neurons for ITSM.

•Ensure that the FILESTREAM feature is enabled on the Microsoft SQL Server. See Enabling Attachment File Streaming.

•If you are going to deploy the reporting feature, ensure that Microsoft SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS) is enabled. See Installing Neurons for ITSM Reporting Feature.

•Enable full-text search for Microsoft SQL Server. See About Full-Text Search.

•(Optional) Verify the server roles and features described in Verifying Server Roles and Features.

•Determine the directories in which to install the Neurons for ITSM components on the host that you are logged into.

•Install the following from the installer package:

•Prerequisite Installer

•System Configuration Wizard (SCW)

•Additional App Domain shared in the package - do this post the SCW installation.
