What's new in Ivanti® Endpoint Manager and Endpoint Security for Endpoint Manager

Version 2024
- Initial release readme (Ivanti Community)
- Agent changes: The engine based agent (EBA) is now the only agent deployment option. Legacy agents deployed by older versions are still supported.
- Remote control now supports a chat feature.
- Additional console users must either be in the core's LANDesk Administrators group or they must have their own database credentials.
- Patch and Compliance includes separate filter definitions for Windows 10 and Windows 11.
- Patch and Compliance > All types > View by product now includes a Product EOL date column with end of life information (if available).
- Patch and Compliance has a new "Detected and remediated vulnerabilities" report, with information on what patches are detected, when they were detected, and when they were remediated.
- Device control supports exception list import and export.
- Self-electing subnet services lets you choose the self-electing subnet services election protocol, either IPv4 or IPv6.

- Web Console 2.0. Now supports 1:1 software distribution to a device.
- Windows Autopilot. Improved PowerShell support and group handling.
- macOS. Inventory scan times are substantially faster.
- Queries. Query import dialog box no longer has a 50-input limit.
- Remote control. Removed legacy and HTML remote control support. These old remote control platforms have been replaced with remote control WS, introduced originally in version 2018.1.
- Agents. Removed agent support for AIX, HP-UX, and Solaris.
- Beta agent. You can test a new, optional beta agent for Windows devices that uses our new engine-based agent architecture.

- Patch filter definitions. Selecting a product at the root will now cause the patch filter to automatically include new versions as they are released. Prior to this you would have to manually select new versions as they are released.
- Web console 2.0. Improved search results and list view filtering. Added new Task History and Queries tabs. Added several new reports and a new reboot device action.
- Remote control. Floating remote control indicator on remote devices can now be collapsed so it takes up less space. In the remote control agent settings you can now add a custom message to the remote control request prompt.
- macOS. Added macOS Ventura support.

- macOS remote control. The macOS agent configuration now lets you choose whether remote control should be installed.
- Autopilot Office Deployment tool downloads. Updated the way tool downloads are handled so it is more robust.
- Autopilot device properties enhancements. In the Devices view you can now click on a device and edit the Azure Group tag and Display name properties.
- Provisioning failed task restart improvements. New options to restart a failed task template at an action you chose, or to restart a template from the last failed required action.
- Provisioning action drag and drop. In the provisioning template window, you can now drag and drop actions within the template to reorder them.
- Provisioning support for DISM. DISM is now an available image type in both capture and deploy provisioning actions.
- Unmanaged Device Discovery IPv6 support. You can now use IPv6 to scan for unmanaged devices.

- Engine based agent. A fully supported new agent architecture. The legacy agent is still supported and is the default.
- Patch and Compliance. Added a new option to disable vulnerability fix auto-deployment when a vulnerability's revision changes.

- Agent maintenance windows. In the distribution and patch agent settings, you can now configure a different maintenance window for each day.
- IPv6-only support for the engine-based agent. Patch, endpoint security, and antivirus now support IPv6-only environments. There's no additional UI configuration necessary.
- Oracle Linux 7, 8, 9, and Red Hat Enterprise Linux 9 patch to zero support.
- Microsoft 365 patch downloads. You can now filter Microsoft Office 365 patch downloads based on severity level.
- Preferred servers. Added support for IPv6 preferred server addresses and ranges.
- Remote control. Mouse pointer movement now visible on both the viewer and the client being controlled.
- macOS. Added macOS Sonoma support. Added support for bulk macOS updates with MDM enrolled devices.

- Windows Remote Desktop Protocol (RDP) session support. If multiple RDP sessions are available on a device, you can now pick the session you want to connect to.
- New agent deployment wizard in the unmanaged device discovery tool. After discovering devices, you can use this new wizard to easily deploy agents.
- Software license monitoring no longer uses Microsoft's Silverlight platform, which is approaching end-of-life. We migrated it to Windows Presentation Foundation. You may notice minor appearance differences, but the product works the same way it used to.
