What Gets Added to Configuration Manager
Within the Configuration Manager Software Updates Folder
Installing the Patch for Configuration Manager plug-in will add three new workspaces to the Software Library > Software Updates > Ivanti Patch folder. It will also add a number of toolbar buttons to the Configuration Manager Home tab when any of the three new workspaces are selected.
- Automation Scheduler: Provides a calendar that shows all of your currently scheduled tasks. You will use this workspace to initiate a number of different recurring publication and update tasks.
- Updates: Contains all the updates available in the active catalogs. You will use this workspace to locate and publish updates. Filters can be used to limit which updates are displayed. See Using the Filters for more information.
- Published Third-Party Updates: Contains all the third-party updates that have been published to WSUS. The updates may have been published using Patch for Configuration Manager or by another mechanism. You will use this workspace to review and manage the updates.
Within the Configuration Manager Monitoring Workspace
The Patch for Configuration Manager plug-in will add three new workspaces to the Monitoring > Ivanti Patch folder.
- Manage Alerts: This area is used to view and set your alert configurations.
- Alert History: This area is used to view all of the alerts that have been issued by Patch for Configuration Manager.
- Scheduled Deployments: This area is used to view the scheduled deployments and auto-deployments for Patch for Configuration Manager.
