Form launchers
In version 2.1.43, Velocity introduced form launchers. A form launcher is a Velocity project that runs as a session on the device. It is a configurable page that makes it easy to list and open the forms available in Ivanti Neurons. Each form name is displayed on a button that launches the form.
On the Velocity Client, each form launcher is displayed in the project list just like a host profile. When a user opens the form launcher, it acts like an active session and counts toward the maximum number of sessions. A device can have multiple form launcher projects. For example, you could have different form launchers for different user roles.
Form launchers can only be used with forms in Ivanti Neurons in the cloud.
A form launcher is configured in two parts: the cloud configuration that determines which forms are included, and the Console configuration that has the proxy information and allows the form launcher to be deployed to devices. Create the cloud configuration first, and then paste the URL provided into the Console configuration to tie the two together.
Options in the cloud configuration
•Form launcher name. The name of the form launcher in Ivanti Neurons.
•Description. An optional description of the form launcher.
•Header. The text at the top of the form launcher. By default, this is the form launcher name.
•Logo. An optional logo to display at the top of the page.
•Logo alignment. Determines whether the logo is aligned to the left, right, or center.
•Layout. Determines if the form buttons are displayed in a single vertical column or two columns.
•Forms. The forms that are available to launch.
•Button background color. The color of the background of the button.
•Foreground color. The color of the text and image on the button.
Configure a form launcher in Neurons
1.In Ivanti Neurons, select Supply Chain Intelligence > Form launchers.
2.Select Add form launcher, or click on the name of the form launcher you want to modify.
3.Configure the options as desired. When you have added forms to the launcher, you can configure the order they appear in and associate an icon with the button.
If you change the name of a form after it has been added to a form launcher, you must edit the form launcher to point to the new name of the form.
4.Select the Get URL button at the top right of the page to copy the URL for the form launcher to your clipboard. You need the URL to paste into the Console project.
5.Select Save & Close to save your changes.
Options in the Console configuration
The Velocity Console has the following options for a form launcher project on the main tab:
•Profile name. A name for the form launcher.
•Form launcher URL. The URL copied from Ivanti Neurons for the form launcher.
•Customer. A customer associated with the form launcher.
•Launch on startup. Enables the form launcher to automatically open when the Velocity client is started.
•Hide close session. Prevents the user from closing the session for the form launcher.
The form launcher project also includes options for the following tabs:
Configure a form launcher in the Velocity Console
1.Launch the Velocity Console application.
2.Click the Create button in the top-right corner of the screen and select Form Launcher.
3.Type a Name for the project. You can also provide a Company, which is used for sorting projects.
4.Click Create.
