Configuring Alerts
HEAT PatchLink DeskTop for System Center includes alerts that notify you of important events.
- What are Alerts?
Like any other software, HEAT PatchLink DeskTop for System Center (HEAT PatchLink DeskTop) includes key events related to maintenance. As a user, it's important to know when these events occur so that you can take action. To help you know when these events are pending or occurring, HEAT PatchLink DeskTop includes alerts, which are notifications of important events.
- Available Alerts
HEAT PatchLink DeskTop for System Center (HEAT PatchLink DeskTop) comes with several alerts that notify you of approaching or occurring events of importance.
- Active Alerts
This view lists only the alerts that are currently active in HEAT PatchLink DeskTop for System Center.
- Manage Alerts
This view lists all of the available alerts for HEAT PatchLink DeskTop and the state they're in. Use this view to configure alerts, subscribe to them, or toggle them enabled/disabled.
- Configuring Alerts
The alerts available in HEAT PatchLink DeskTop for System Center can be customized to your liking. You can change their severity, modify the values that trigger them, or add comments to them.
- Enabling / Disabling Alerts
You can toggle an alert on or off if you want it to stop being displayed in Active Alerts (or stop receiving alert emails).
- Subscribing to Alerts
By default, alerts are only displayed in the SCCM console, but you can also configure them to be automatically emailed when triggered, which is called an alert subscription.
