Getting Started

Before getting started using Monitor, you must first install it as described in the Monitor Configuration Guide.

To configure and use Monitor, complete the following tasks in this approximate order:

1. Configure alert settings to select which kind of alert data to present in the console
2. Configure alert notifier integrations to receive alerts via SMTP, Victor Ops, Pager Duty, and Slack
3. Create contact lists
4. Create server groups if desired
5. Set up LDAP servers
6. Set up server diagnostics
7. Add and manage administrators
8. Configure Incident Reporting Integrations
9. Check system status on the Dashboard and the Alert Activity page
10. Configure data purging
11. Create reports
