Locking a Mobile Device

An administrator can lock an Android, iOS, or Windows Phone 8.1 device using the Avalanche Console. When a device is locked, the user must enter the device passcode in order to access the device. If no passcode is set at the device level, the device will ignore any lock commands.

To lock a Smart device from the Avalanche Console:

1.From the Inventory tab, click the name of the device you want to lock.

2.The Device Details page appears. In the Tools panel, click Lock.

3.A dialog box appears asking you if you are sure you want to lock the device. Click Confirm.

The device is locked and the user must enter the passcode in order to access the device.
